Cost about 25 RMB in a taxi from downtown, or you can catch a bus. A pleasant 3 hours hiking around the various trails. Some good views of the expanding and modernising city, and tasty salt chicken at the entrance/exit to round off a good few hours.

Pretty, but need your own transport.

The yundong cave area is quite pretty, but as it is outside of zhangzhou city, you should ideally have your own transport. By chartered taxi, it is not too far, and a half day is sufficient time to visit the caves, plus do some light walks in the surrounding mountains.

Great hiking area

I live nearby, great area to spend the day hiking. Multiple trail paths are available. A number of different things to see as well. And at the end of it, make sure you stop for the salted chicken. That alone is worth the trip.
