“Worth a look. ”

Recently I have often found myself staying near the airport for about a week for my work, with not much to do on my day off. So I decided to have a look. I was presently surprised. It’s free to get in and peaceful. Although compared to major tourist sites it’s quite ordinary it’s worth a look. There are some old streets to amble around, a city gate and a nice old temple very close by. I would travel far to visit here but the whole area is worth a few hours to explore if your in the vicinity.

A peaceful spot in the middle of jieyang city. Lots of good local eateries nearby, and the statues look pretty lit up with the multi-coloured lights in the evenings. Worth a slight detour if you have about half a hour free in the evenings.

The statues look pretty lit up in the evenings.

Really nice, must visit

I come to Jieyang a lot, and try to visit this place each time

Peaceful, and beautiful.

Visit it at night for a whole different perspective...

Located in the busy street of Hanci and you can have your meals around there after visiting.

Sept 2012 • Solo

This place is located in Hanci Road and it is just by the side of the road. On first look, I thought it is a temple but later realised that there is nothing around the area that looks as ancient as this. Try not to go there between 12 noon to 2 pm as it will be closed to let staffs return to their home to have their lunch. Also remember to walk to the opposite site where the arch and the Confucius statue are located. I guess it would be more beautiful in the evening as different colours of the lights would be turned on to transform all these white structures into colourful ones. I did not see that as I need to go to the airport around 4.30 pm.
