Dushu Lake Hospital, a new hospital that is being built in SIP and is expected to partly come into operation at the end of this year, appointed 22 experts as leaders of its clinical and other departments on Sept 24.
Dushu Lake Hospital is a cooperative project between Soochow University, a Suzhou-based public university with several affiliated hospitals, and SIP authorities. Positioned as a non-profit, public general hospital, it is dedicated to medical services, training and research.
The part to open later this year will consist of oncology, assisted reproduction, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, respiratory, endoscopy and other departments, with a total floor area of 131,000 square meters and 800 beds.
SIP Administrative Committee director Ding Lixin said at the appointment ceremony that the hospital will drive further improvement of SIP’s medical and health service system.
