The transition from the 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB) RDIMMs, 667 MHz, 512 Mb DRAM feature (#4522) to the 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB) RDIMMs, 667 MHz, 1 Gb DRAM feature (#4532) impacts current memory features 4520, 4521, and 4522.

On the Power 520 (8203-E4A):

• Express Edition 1-core Growth (#9634) will have 4 GB memory feature 4532 instead of feature 4522.
• Express Edition features 9636, 9637, 9638, 9639, 9640, and 9643 and Solution Edition feature 9635 will now default to 4 GB memory feature 4532 instead of feature 4522.
• Express Product Offerings for the 1-core (#5633) processor will now default to 1 x 2 GB memory feature 4521. Express Product Offerings for the 2-core (#5634) processor will now default to 1 x 4 GB memory feature 4532. Express Product Offerings for the 4-core (#5635) processor will now default to 2 x 4 GB memory feature 4532.Existing memory rules on the Power 520 remain in effect.

On the Power 550 (8204-E8A):

• Express Edition feature 9642 will now default to 4 GB memory feature 4532. The suggested starting configuration for feature 9642 will default to 2 x feature 4532 instead of 2 x feature 4522.
• Solution Edition features 9645 and 9646 will now default to 2 x feature 4532 in the minimum configuration.
• The default memory requirements for the Express Product Offerings will now be as follows:
  • 2-core 3.5 GHz offering: 1 x 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB) DIMMs (#4532)
  • 2-core 4.2 GHz offering: 1 x 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB) DIMMs (#4532)
  • 4-core 3.5 GHz offering: 2 x 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB) DIMMs (#4532)
  • 4-core 4.2 GHz offering: 2 x 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB) DIMMs (#4532)
  • 8-core 3.5 GHz offering: 4 x 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB) DIMMs (#4532)
  • 8-core 4.2 GHz offering: 4 x 4096 MB (2 x 2048 MB) DIMMs (#4532)
• The 4-core and 8-core Solution Editions for Oracle will now default to 4096 MB memory feature 4532 instead of feature 4522.
• The 4-core and 8-core Solution Editions for SAP will now default to 4096 MB memory feature 4532 instead of feature 4522.Existing memory rules on the Power 550 remain in effect.
