The 612 is one of those Ferrari models that are very easy to disregard but believe us, you'd be a fool for doing so. Even with a high six-figure starting price, the car is having a second renaissance on the used market. Today there are more supercar options than ever before and almost all of them have the same thing in common, wild styling. The 612 is the opposite, it's classy and clean without trying too hard.

Let's look at why the Ferrari 612 is a tasty option on the used market, and what makes it special.

Striking Looks, With A Trunk Big Enough For Golf Clubs

The 612's 5.7 liter V12 would be happily at home in a mid-engined supercar, instead, it sits in a car big enough to have back seats, cup holders, and a large rear compartment.

This car wasn't designed to be a track-focused time-attack monster, but for a car with comfy heated leather seats, cup holders, and a top-notch sound system, it's clear who Ferrari was marketing this car too. The jet-set grand touring elite, who want to drive across continental Europe or America in abject comfort and style. So if you're looking for something a little more special than a Mercedes SLK, we think giving the 612 a hard look is well worth the time.

Anyone who grew up watching Jeremy Clarkson a blue 612 to Verbier in Switzerland against Hammond and May using a combination of different public transportation will be happy to know that there's still plenty of them around on the used market.

Watching Jeremy hoon the Ferrari along his route which consisted of " Dover, Seacat, Calais, Dijon, 'left a bit', 'mountainy bit', and finally, Verbier" was some of the most memorable content of the whole series. The film ends with Jeremy sitting on a chair in Vernier, cold one in hand after his Ferrari beat Hammond and May to the finish line at a ski-lodge. Even using the most advanced public transit services in Europe wasn't enough to catch Jeremy in his blue Italian sports car.

The wonderful thing about the 612 is that after ten years of depreciation, you can buy the keys to a top of the line Italian Grand Tourer for the same price as a brand new Dodge Challenger Hellcat. That's right, as you read this, right now, there's a black 2005 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti F1A Coupe on sale with just 20 thousand miles on sale for just $80 thousand dollars. We love the Hellcat to death, but given the choice of that or the 612, we think it'd be like deciding which arm you'd most like amputated
