BrickWars Sets Description Lego 7929 The Battle of Naboo was a skirmish that took place during the Invasion of Naboo. The climactic battle, referred to as the Battle of Grassy Plains, was fought between the Gungan Grand Army and the Trade Federation Army. Because of its scale and significance, it is often considered the Battle of Naboo. The Gungan forces, led by Bombad General Jar Jar Binks and Ceel. The Federation forces were led by battle droid commander OOM-9. Gungan soldiers were armed with personal deflector shields, catapults, Boomas and cestas. They used several large shield generators to protect themselves from blaster fire. The Trade Federation's force was made up of B1 battle droids and droidekas. They had Multi Troop Transports (MTTs), Armored Assault Tanks (AATs) and Platoon Attack Craft (PAC). As the battle went on, the Gungans made little headway. Eventually, Trade Federation forces overwhelmed them and captured the army. Just when it seemed as though the Gungans were doomed, the Droid Control Ship above the planet was destroyed by Anakin Skywalker and a group of Naboo starfighter pilots, Bravo Squadron. The battle droids were immediately deactivated and the Gungans were saved, leaving them the victors of the Battle of Grassy Plains.
The Lego 7929 The Battle of Naboo contains 241 pieces and includes 12 minifigures.

Posted August 19, 2011 by legocreator295, United Kingdom The set Iam reviewing is the battle of naboo (7929.) The pros are: that it is quick and easy to build,it comes with 10 droid minifigures and is fun to play with but the cons are: it only comes with two gungan minifigures, it takes a long time to put the 8 battle droid minifigures back on their stands and because the droids can't stand up by themselves it is hard to re-create the battle scene. Because of this I would give a 7 out of 10.
Posted December 29, 2010 by Callum Coghlan, United Kingdom This set is pretty amazing. For starters, twelve minifigures for just £26/ $25 is fantastic. The speeder itself is really detailed and accurate as well.PROS: The eight Droids and two pilot Droids included makes this a fantastic army builder - if you get a few of these you will have a huge Droid army! Also, the redesigned Gungans are brilliant. Their head moulds and torsos are so detailed and accurate - The LEGO group have done a great job on them! The speeder is really accurate and contains many rare dark beige and brown pieces. The little spotlight and other little details make this set look even better! The Droid-rack is a well designed feature and works well. The speeder is easy to build and the finished product looks very nice. The price is definitely worth it. 241 pieces for £26/ $25 is a very good deal.CONS: The speeder could have been made slightly wider and perhaps the Droid rack could have been extended just in case you needed extra space to store spare Droids, but that isn't a major issue. Also, this set could have included a Droideka, as they haven't been released since 2007 and they were featured in the Battle of Naboo.Overall, though, this set is a great-army builder, the Gungans looks great, and the speeder contains rare colours and elements and looks good.My rating out of 10: 10/10! |
