I always put Manufactures Fluids in My Vehicles.
I have 2 G8 GT’s that I was doing complete Fluid changes (Transmission,Differential, Brake,Power Steering & Coolant). On the Differentials I did a Drain & Fill with a cheaper Brand Fluid, Drove it 5-10 Miles then Drained it and put the GM stuff in. But I was surprised to see one G8’s was still dirty after do the First Drain & Refill, I ended up doing it 7 times before getting clean fluid out. It had 120k miles on it. The other G8 had 50k on it and was Clean after the First Drain & Fill.

Changed fluid in rear diff of my 16 Chevrolet SS at 30k miles with this. The only fluid I could find since Castrol no longer makes the factory fluid directly. Expensive for what it is but a necessary evil. From what I read the SS/G8 require this unique fluid because of the Differential materials and design.

I have a G8 and GM says that you never have to replace differential oil, maintenance free. I drained mine and it was black at 37,000. I think it was a pricey gamble that paid off. I should have gave it four stars because they could've made the bottle more fancy for the price lol
