The scope of the project covers the reach of the Tanghe River in the Shancheng District (from Yuanquan Village to the Tanghe Reservoir) and the tributary of the Tanghe River-the Sihe River( from Dayu Village to the Tanghe River). The length of the rivers to be harnessed reaches up to 23.6 km. And the construction content mainly includes four aspects: river course comprehensive control, river basin pollution control, water environment ecological restoration and coastal ecological landscape construction.

      The project will restore the unimpeded water system through dredging and widening river channels, and improve the regulation and storage capacity and flood control & drainage functions of the rivers; through the construction of rubber dam and ecological retaining dam in middle and upper reaches of the rivers, the project will strengthen the capacity of middle and upper reaches of the river to absorb and store water; on the basis of not affecting the capacity of channels to draw off and discharge floodwater, the existing hard bank revetment will be ecologically transformed or constructed, and the construction of coastal landscape belt will be strengthened to improve the overall look of the landscape.
