This 1973 Porsche 914 started out as a 1.7-liter model and has since been fitted with a 2.2-liter flat-six from a 911T, which is paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. A repaint in yellow was carried out in 2004, and additional modifications include five-lug hubs, 911-style brakes, Fuchs wheels, a Momo steering wheel, and an aftermarket stereo system. The car was acquired by its current owner through a September 2018 BaT auction and was subsequently imported to the US, where it received body and paint repairs. This 914 is offered with a manual, service records, importation documents, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.

The body was refinished in yellow under previous ownership in 2004 and features chrome bumpers, a luggage rack, and a black removable Targa roof. The current owner commissioned body repairs and paintwork on the doors and fenders to correct panel alignment issues and bubbling in the finish. Remaining rust is noted in the cowl and left rear jacking point.

A false passenger-side exhaust tip and matching rear valance notch were added under previous ownership. Polished five-lug Fuchs wheels were refinished in 2004 and are mounted with 15″ Dunlop tires. The car is said to feature 911 brakes.

The interior features black bucket seats with perforated inserts and a Momo steering wheel with a centering stripe. An aftermarket Alpine stereo is wired to a subwoofer, though the sound system is inoperable. A crack can be seen in the dash pad.

VDO instrumentation includes a tachometer and speedometer as well as a combination oil pressure and temperature gauge in the center console. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 53k miles, with total mileage unknown.

The 2.2-liter flat-six was reportedly sourced from a 911T and installed in 2004 under previous ownership along with a new exhaust system, PMO carburetors, a replacement clutch, a chain tensioner update, and a newer-style oil pressure sending unit. The seller states that the fluids were changed four months ago and notes oil drips from several fittings.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle with a dogleg first gear. The rocker panels are said to have been reinforced with steel in the 1980s.
